Note To Self:

If you know you can't make it to an appointment, it's probable a good idea to call in advance to cancel. I hate irresponsible people. I swear, who just schedules an appointment with no intent of showing up. From now on when people no show, they are going to get a lecture from me. This is what the lecture will include:
I had __ hours set aside just for you. By your not showing up I wasted those __ hours. In the future if you can't make it to an appointment I would appreciate advanced notice so that I can fill the time slot. I would like to include something about how not showing up to a scheduled appointment is dishonest, selfish, and irresponsible...But I can't quite figure out a way to call someone all those nasty names and remain professional.
Family is the best. They are always there for you and they actually show up. I love having people I can count on. Now I just wish I had more family members.

Lucky Me!!

Hallelujah!! I found my mockboard pt, unfortunately I was stupid and forgot to get xrays so I'll just have to do it the day of. I got a quad of a classIV and a III and 2 1B's and 2 V's. My last pt no-showed, but what can you do. I'm lucky today because my last pt was just here with her kids and wanted her teeth cleaned. I shouldn't waste so much time going around every tooth on a 1B. I should still explore every tooth, but I went too slow today. I really need to study up on the different injection techniques.

Another one bites the dust!!

My morning pt came in bright and early, I love the on time pt's! I was able to pass off 4 PE's which made me feel semi-productive.
I had 2 pt's scheduled for the afternoon, but the first one didn't show. That's strike 2 for him. I might not need him so he might be dead to me.
My last pt will be here any minute and she should be an easy class V. Let's hope for the best. I'm feeling better about this semester. Hopefully I can get some LA experiences at some point.

My 1st Day Of My Last Semester

Well, It's the 1st day of clinic and I already had my 1st no-show. I was pretty sad because I really wanted to clean this lady. She is most likely a class 3 with calculus and recession. I'm going to try to reschedule her which is probably a big mistake, but we'll see.
My 1st 2 patients went really well. 2 kids, easy.
My sister who is the sweetest girl ever came in last minute for my afternoon. I got her in and out in 45 minutes, without x-rays. She's coming in later today to have those done.
